Sleeper steps and pathway

When a client requested a new pathway for the front of their property, Decking Colchester rose to the challenge with enthusiasm and expertise. The existing grassed area was carefully removed and the area prepared by levelling the ground, forming a solid base for the new pathway. Sleepers from a quality hardwood were precisely cut to size and laid along the length of the path along one side of the house. To provide a striking entrance, one sleeper was laid at a 90-degree angle like a ‘doormat’ and the rest was cut to create a flat platform for feature pots and planting. The final step was to seal the sleepers to protect against the elements. A hard-wearing non-slip sealant was applied to ensure the pathway was easy to maintain. Finally, the feature planting was added, giving the entrance an eye-catching and inviting look. The finished pathway was an ideal solution which was both attractive and practical.
